Sarah & Andrew, Xanadu Wines Wedding Film

I had the tremendous honour of capturing Sarah and Andrew’s love story through the captivating beauty of Super 8mm and real 16mm film, mixed with digital footage. Their wedding day was a tapestry of emotions, breathtaking moments, and enchanting details that unfolded so beautifully before my eyes.

Tell me about the location of the wedding – why did you choose it and what does it mean to you?

Xanadu winery. We always tend to go to xanadu when we visit margs because of their great food and environment. Last time we had a lunch booking but left our car in town and andrew had to walk 2.5 hours back to it as we couldn’t get a taxi. Xanadu was really nice about moving our reservation and even offered to pick us up which was really sweet and really made our day (even though it was too late by that point :p). It’s also great as they have a contingency plan for if it rains on the day.

How did you find me? Why did you pick me to capture your wedding day?

Saw an example video of yours on a website about margaret river videographers and loved it the best. Like the documentary style with no posed/staged sequences. Love the idea of using actual film

Tell me about yourselves … How did you meet? What do you do?..How do you spend your days?..What’s important in life?

We both work FIFO and met at our last job. We were friends for a while before dating. I like photography, growing fruit trees and crafting and Andrew is big into video gaming.

The proposal? …Tell me a little bit about it…

Andrew proposed to me on Christmas morning just the two of us whilst we were staying in Margaret River at hilltop studios (this will be our getting ready location)
