Tell me about the location of the wedding – why did you choose it and what does it mean to you?
Clayton Farm – a heritage property built in 1861. It is Nadine’s fathers property and home. It is our family home where we grew up as kids and also lived as adults. Nadine grandparents bought it in 1968 and restored it to the family home it is today. It is a beautiful and meaningful location for our family where there are many great memories.
How did you find me? Why did you pick me to capture your wedding day?
Facebook. Liked the look of the images and footage. It had a soft, loving feeling about it.
Tell me about yourselves?
We met 8 years ago when we were both working at Grill’d, and the rest is history. Mitch is an electrician who loves his dogs and camping, Nadine is a Chiropractor who loves her horse riding. We spend our days just enjoying time with each other and our families, and being outdoors having adventures, but also loving quiet night in. In April this year we had our first child, our daughter Heidi, which has been the most amazing and beautiful addition to our lives.
The proposal?
We were on a trip up north, that Nadine had organised as a surprise for Mitch’s birthday to Exmouth. Mitch had no idea where we were going each day, and Nadine would just give him directions – he loved it. Little did Nadine know that Mitch had organised to propose on the trip. The evening before we were due to go on a whale dive, we were camping next to the beach. They watched the sunset and before heading back to their camp, Mitch got down on one knee and proposed. It was perfect.
